Updating Desktop for the June 22, 2026 release

Action Required for Salesforce users

To continue using Plauti Desktop in combination with Salesforce Orgs, some changes need to be made.

Because of Salesforce's security updates, some changes need to be made in Plauti Desktop and your Salesforce Orgs before you can continue using these apps after June 22, 2026. A managed package needs to be installed, and Connections need to be reconnected before you can run jobs again.

For connections with MS Dynamics environments no further action is required.

In Short

For connections with Salesforce orgs,

  • A new managed package needs to be installed in your Salesforce orgs
  • Existing Connections need to be reconnected

Prerequisites

Confirm that Plauti Desktop has been updated to version 2.0.0 or up:

  1. Open Plauti Desktop
  2. At left, go to Dashboard
  3. Scroll down until you see the Plauti information label below ‘Recent Activity’
  4. Click User Information
  5. Confirm the version under Version.
  6. If the version listed there is earlier than 2.0.0, fully close down Plauti Desktop and open it again. Repeat if needed.

Close and reopen to install a new version

Plauti Desktop is updated automatically, but you might need to close it one or two times before the update takes place. The first time opening Plauti Desktop a new version is downloaded; then, upon closing and reopening, that new version is installed.

Administrators

1. Install the Managed Package in each Org

A new Managed Package containing Plauti’s External Client Apps (ECA’s) needs to be installed in every org that you want to connect to. If this managed package is not installed, you will not be able to connect your org to Plauti Desktop.
If the managed package is not yet installed, you will see an error message stating “Managed App Not Installed - OAUT_EC_APP_NOT_FOUND” when connecting to a Salesforce Org.

  1. Install the managed app using the following link: https://<my-company-salesforce-homepage-url>/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tIV000000Ja6DYAS replacing <my-company-salesforce-homepage-url> with your Salesforce Org's URL is.
    Alternatively, use
    https://login.salesforce.com/packaging/installPackage.apexp?p0=04tIV000000Ja6DYAS
and log in using your Salesforce Org's login data.
  2. On the install page, decide who gets access to the app: Admin, All Users, or Specific Profiles. All users who should be able to create Connections, or who already have created Connections in Plauti Desktop, should have access to the managed app.
  3. Select “I acknowledge that I'm installing a Non-Salesforce Application that is not authorized for distribution as part of Salesforce's AppExchange Partner Program.”
The “not authorized” warning is expected. We are actively working with the Salesforce security team to have the external client app fully authorized. Despite the warning, it is safe to proceed with the installation.
  4. Click Install.
The managed package will now be installed.
  5. Repeat for all Salesforce Orgs that you want to connect Plauti Desktop to.

2. Reconnect all Salesforce Connections

After installing the managed package as described above in all Salesforce Orgs that need to connect to Plauti Desktop, reconnect those Orgs.
If you don't have access to the Salesforce Org of a certain Connection, let the owner of that Connection follow the steps below to reconnect.

  1. Open Plauti Desktop.
  2. At bottom left, click Connections.
  3. At top right, click + New Connection.
  4. Select ‘Salesforce Production’ or ‘Salesforce Sandbox’, depending on the Org you want to reconnect, and click Connect.
  5. Log in to the Org you want to reconnect to.
  6. Allow Access when requested.
  7. If not opened automatically, go to Connections again.
You will now see the active Connection to your Org.
  8. Repeat for all Salesforce Orgs you want to reconnect.
