Step 1. How to install Record Validation

Thank you for your interest in Record Validation! With Record Validation, you gain the ability to validate and format addresses, emails and phone numbers upon editing or inserting a record. Let's get started!

Step 1 Install Record Validation from the AppExchange

  1. Visit the AppExchange and click Get it now.
  2. Decide if you want to install in Sandbox or Production.
  3. Read and confirm the Terms and Conditions and click Confirm and Install.
  4. Decide if you want to install for Administrators only, All Users or Specific Profiles.
    We recommend Administrators Only: after installation you can assign permission sets to user groups that need access.
    • Administrators only - Only administrators can access the Record Validation pages such as RV Setup and RV Job.
    • All Users - All users can access the Record Validation pages such as RV Setup and RV Job.
    • Specific Profile - Grant a specific profile access.
    Note that you can always change access level at a later point.
  5. Click Install.
