Use Pause Assignment to temporarily pause the assignment of records by one or more Match Groups. During an assignment pause, records that match a paused Match Group will temporarily be put on hold or forwarded to the next group, until the end date is reached. Use this feature for example during company holidays. 

Schedule a pause to start and stop at a future date, or start it right away. If only certain teams are unavailable, pause assignments just for their Match Groups. If no-one is available, pause assignments company-wide.

Pause a Single Match Group

To pause assignment for one Match Group:

1. Go to tab Assign Setup > Match Groups and find the Match Group you want to pause.
2. On the Match Group, go to subtab Settings > section Pause Assignment.
3. At right, click Configure .
4. Set a start and end time/date and click Save. To start pausing right away set the start time at one minute from now.

• For the duration you set, no records will be assigned to the Assignees of this Match Group. 
• Records that also match another Match Group will be assigned there; else they will be queued. 
• In the overview of Match Groups, the paused Match Group will be displayed as “Inactive”.
• After the end date/time has passed, assignment of queued and new records will resume automatically.

Pause all Match Groups

To pause assignment for all Match Groups in one go:

1. Go to tab Assign Setup > Pause Assignment (at left).
2. At right, click Configure .
3. Set a start and end time/date and click Save. To start pausing right away set the start time at one minute from now.

For the duration you set, no records will be assigned at all. After the end date/time has passed, assignment of queued and new records will resume automatically.

Stop Pausing Earlier than Planned

To stop the Pause before the set end date/time: click Remove . Assigning will commence right away.
